RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE
At approximately 5am, apparatus and personnel from St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 responded to the report of a structure fire in the 37000 block of Hidden Oaks Ln. in Pearl River, LA. When personnel arrived on scene they reported smoke coming from the structure but contained to one room.
Firefighters deployed a hose line and made entry through the front door, found the room containing the fire and put the fire out placing the situation under control quickly.
At home at the time of the fire were three adult females, two in their late 50s and one in her early 80s. All were able to escape the fire when alerted by smoke alarms. One was treated and taken to the hospital by Acadian Ambulance service for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
